  1. Just back from a weekend in Devon/Exmoor area. Had a fantastic weekend. Beautiful scenery. Stayed at the Saunton Sands in Braunton on the recommendation of a couple sitting on the terrace having breakfast in Cyprus. Great place. Loved it. Had my share of cream tea, clotted cream and scones and fudge! Also had a fabulous pastie. Yum!

  2. One more thing! Best part of the whole weekend was learning about Lorna Doone. Previously, I would have thought Lorna Doone was a shortbread cookie by Nabisco. I now know that Lorna Doone was a novel by R.D. Blackmore, published in 1869 and set in the South West of England. The area we explored was the area the book was set in. Fantastic!! Reading this classic now. Can't wait! Also can't wait to go home, walk into Walgreens or Jewel and buy a package of Lorna Doone cookies with a whole new appreciation!!
